Although a cool breeze from the sea was a welcome and refreshing to us, the city of Piran was baking in its summer heat. Orange and red roofs were keeping its inhabitants from the sun, the city was rather quiet. Piran´s roofs have a coherent appearance, and give the city a beautiful look. No modern architectural design disturb our impression of this jewel at the Adriatic coast.
