Ponte Vecchio lives upon the river Arno connecting both banks of Florenz. When we visited, it rained for days. The sky hung low in blueish and grey overtones, making buildings disappear with the distance. It made Florence stand out with its ocher buildings, wonderful architecture and ancient roofs. The foggy weather gives Florence a characteristic charm however. The sky is its mantle, the dome is its hat, and its many stone bridges its limbs permeating this artistic locale in quite a romantic way.
