The light on the Adriatic coast is different. Here, at the southernmost tip of Krk near Baška, the barren mountains rise gently in the evening light. The further south you go, the more intense this southern light becomes. Light clouds accompany the coast, the sea rages vividly, while you pause for a moment and don't want to leave. Somehow, many things in life no longer seem important. You simply sit down, look forward to dinner at Francesca and wonder why life at home always seems so hectic.
