Brekstad is located on an offshore peninsula, west of Trondheim. Behind this peninsula, the vastness of the Atlantic begins, the rough sea, after which there are only thousands of kilometers of water, very cold water. You can feel this vastness on the beach at Brekstad. It was around zero degrees, but the wind felt far below that. The sky appeared yellowish and blue, the last ferry to Trondheim was already at anchor. In this seemingly desolate corner of Norway, you could easily settle down to write a novel. There is peace and quiet, little contact with other people and there is no shopping or cinema.
