The Parco delle Rose, a charming park near Grado's beach promenade, is often the local center for concerts as well as literary and dance events in summer. But the park impresses above all with its Mediterranean flair so close to Graz. Tall pine trees with shapely treetops were planted with palm trees in 1925 in a harmonious park that reminds me a little of the Florida Keys with its intense green combined with the wide blue sea. Grado's beaches are also worth a long walk in cloudy weather in late fall.
