When I'm looking for motifs, I always try to incorporate nature in all its perfection. But I also include older buildings that appear to be in need of renovation, which harmonize with the forest and meadow precisely because of their imperfection. The plaster is crumbling a little, wooden planks are aged, there is no meticulously manicured lawn. It makes you feel good as a human being.
